Building scalable, user-focused applications that solve real problems and create meaningful experiences
Hey there! I'm Alex, and I've spent the last 7 years turning coffee into code (cliché, I know, but it's true). I graduated with a BS in Computer Science from UC Berkeley back in 2018, bright-eyed and ready to change the world one commit at a time.
What started as a junior developer role fresh out of college has evolved into something I'm genuinely proud of. I'm not just about writing code—I'm about solving problems that matter. Whether it's building a real-time collaboration tool that helps teams work better together, or creating an e-commerce platform that actually makes people want to buy things, I focus on impact.
Outside of work, you'll find me contributing to open-source projects (because giving back to the community that taught me everything feels right), experimenting with new frameworks (currently obsessed with Next.js 14), or hiking around the Bay Area trying to remember what sunlight looks like. I'm also that person who gets way too excited about clean code architecture and will absolutely geek out over a well-designed API.
My philosophy? Technology should be invisible. The best apps are the ones users don't have to think about—they just work. And when they break (because let's be real, they will), there should be enough monitoring and error handling that I know about it before the users do.
